Chase
Tandem Instructor
How many years do you have in the sport?
3+
When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
I used to ride dirt bikes, climb trees, practice aerial flips on the trampoline, and I loved airplanes growing up. I spent time at the airport watching planes land and always dreamed of flying.
What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
I was considering a change of pace for work and got a phone call about packing parachutes. I drove across the country, learned how to pack, and then did my first tandem.
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
Watching the Blue Angels practice their tight formation less than a mile away from our airspace over Key West. Did a high pull, left the breaks stowed and watched them fly right by me, feeling the roar of the engines after they passed by.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about jumping for the first time?
Take the leap, some of the best experiences in life are veiled by fear. Sometimes pushing comfort zones create the most room for personal growth.
